Name: Ensemble

Inspiration: There is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) named FFXI (Final Fantasy XI). In this game there is a grouping called a Linkshell. What it does is lets people contact each other across the game in a type of chatroom used only for that group. It's like a guild or, just as it works, a chat room. My linkshell was named Circle of Faivant and we were together for about two years. Being so, after two leader changes, we're more active in a forum because of a few of our members quitting the game. Having known these people for three years, and all of us having played FFXI, I decided to create a book that stars all of us. The final Linkshell we had was named Ensemble and thus we have our title and our reason for its creation.

Plotline: The plotline of Ensemble, to me, is a remnant of a book I never finished called Expressions. It has a type of post-apocalyptic storyline in a sense. It begins softly with a type of "living-life" felling. Then it escalates to wartime and then we go into the more epic storyline.

Character Inspiration: Seeing as all my characters are based off real people with real personalities, I'm attempting to portray each character with just as much wit, comedy, and composure as the real person has and had displayed to me during our time in the linkshell. To give a shot at whom I mean, every character in the brigade is a part of our FFXI grouping. The only exceptions is Arliss, Bryth and Rialce. Those three are all me.

Action Inspiration: The magic of FFXI is all color coordinated. Thus, each of the magics in the story is color coded as well. Ensemble is perhaps the weakest story, combat-wise, I have ever created. I've sort of strayed away from the more sword and evasive action with tons of blood to a more crafty magic death. Being that my main character is a magic-user, the sword fighting is toned down a bit.
